The right partners can make or break your business

I just wanted to talk about something that I consider critical in today's online environment. Choosing carefully your partners can have an important positive return in your ventures. Conversely, choosing unwisely can be the end of your online dreams, projects and future.

When dealing with web design companies, some clients understand how important it is to hire the right people for the job; however some others don't. A limited number of companies do their homework and consider many factors other than just the price tag. Clearly some business' leaders realize that once they are involved with a bad web company the cost of replacing them is very high, both economically and emotionally.

Hiring the right professionals for your project is critical to your success. In online marketing, web design and development is no different.

Imagine designing your website with somebody that does web design because it is their nine to five. Imagine having an issue with the server when your project administrator is having fun with his friends on Friday night and he doesn't get paid to fix things in the middle of the night. Imagine what happens when you hire a graphic design agency and the server is down on Saturday night. Do you honestly think that people that don't get paid to stop what they are doing will do anything to keep your business afloat? The response that you'll get is almost always the same: no response.

It is obvious that our competitors don't care as much as we do and they seem to do fine. The reason why we work to our fullest extend and with all tools available is because we love what we do. I don't think that a check can motivate anybody to do something passionately. I think passion can motivate somebody to do anything even without a check.

We don't work for a check. We work because we love it. The check is a way in which somebody else shows their appreciation for our passion.
